Let's do some quick maths (don't stop reading! We promise it's not as boring as it sounds). How many make-up removal pads do you use every day? Roughly, one cotton pad for the eyes and two more to cleanse the face. And so, twice in one day! At the end of the week we used a total of 42 make-up removal pads... In a month we used 168 pads... I think you get the idea that this practice is not sustainable at all.
At LE-BOBÚ we are always focused on sustainability and how we can have as little impact on the planet as possible with our actions. After launching our first collections, we asked ourselves what we could do with the leftover fabric scraps.
And that's why, looking for different ways to put an end to waste and throw away, we have lovingly hand-sewn our own reusable make-up remover discs!
To make them we have chosen a very soft towel fabric made of GOTS certified organic cotton. And on the other side, we have used leftover scraps from production, i.e. organic and sustainable fabrics, such as lyocell tencel and GOTS certified organic cotton. They are made without toxic materials such as dyes or pesticides, so they are recyclable and do not pollute our seas, and these reusable make-up remover discs will not only help us to remove our make-up, read on to find out how to get the most out of them!
TO REMOVE MAKE-UP
This pack of 6 reusable make-up remover discs will be great for your daily routine. Certified organic cotton is free of toxic substances, so it's gentle on your skin and won't irritate it. As it is a full-bodied fabric, it helps to remove make-up well and leaves your skin thoroughly cleansed.
To make sure you don't get a trace of make-up on your skin, try this! Start on your forehead in circular motions and gently work your way down your cheeks to your chin. Finally, work your way down your neck, the forgotten area!
Tip! Once you've finished cleansing your face, moisten reusable make-up remover pads and clean them with a little soap. When you have a few used ones, you can put them all together in the washing machine with the sachet at less than 30°C. This way you'll take care of your discs and they'll last much longer!
FOR TONER APPLICATION
These discs are also ideal for our skincare routine. Once your skin is clean, add toner to your reusable cotton pad and dab it onto your skin. For an extra touch, glide it in a circular motion from top to bottom to make sure your skin is thoroughly cleansed.
GENTLE DAILY EXFOLIATION
Even if you don't wear make-up, these discs are a must for your daily routine! The reusable cotton pads, with their soft but raised texture, will help you cleanse your skin thoroughly. Once your face is damp, add your cleanser, rub it in gently with your hands and finish by wiping your face with the reusable cotton pad in a circular motion. This will ensure that we cleanse our skin deeply of environmental dirt and impurities and will improve the circulation of the face thanks to the circular movements. A must-have, that's all I have to add!
